Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is a Mexican musician who was born into a family of musicians. The music she grew up with was classic Boleros from the past as well as classic romantic songs and the Ranchero style. Ana loves tangos, operas and other dramatic shows. She was taught by her mother to sing, but she began more intensive singing lessons by Flavio Belcerra, who was 16 at the time when Belcerra was an internationally acclaimed Mexican opera Tenor. Her musical education continued at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and later to the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. When she was a student, and a young professional, she was a part of numerous chamber ensembles and opera choruses in Guadalajara and Mexico City. After moving in the United States, she performed as a member of the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. In 2002 she relocated to Southern California. She currently performs the traditional Latin American songs at private occasions as a soloist. As a teacher and musician, she is committed to numerous community projects because of her love and enthusiasm for music. Ana is also a former member of the Community Chorus of Redlands. The Inland Master Chorale. and the Performance Loft. Ana hopes, through her sharing of Latin American traditional songs, that she can inspire a love, especially for the young generation in keeping the music alive.
